Preeclampsia is a very dangerous condition that can affect both the mother and the baby. * Swelling

* Nausea

* Vomiting

* Sudden excessive weight gain

* Abdominal pain

* Rapid heartbeat

* Dizziness

* Severe headaches

* Large amounts of protein detected in the mother's urine.
